January 2012 Projects

We have enjoyed several days of nice weather this past month, giving us an opportunity to make a dent in our to-do list. Manuel is preparing to ship an order to a ranch in Oklahoma. We imagine that the paving bricks and cast stone pieces will complement a ranch atmosphere beautifully.

It has also been our pleasure to work with two couples in Lincoln who are restoring their early 20th century homes to their original brilliance. A fireplace mantle went to one, and an oak stair railing to the other.  We were honored to take a tour of each home. The quality and character of homes built in this period are incredible. I always enjoy feasting my eyes on the rich wood paneling and floors, wide, open staircases, beautiful hardware, etc.

One of our bison murals caught the eye of another customer.  She went home and thought about it and came back the following week to take it home with her.  It now resides on the mantle above her newly installed fireplace.

Have a great week!

Welcome to Scherer’s Architectuaral Antiques

On August 16, 2005, Scherer’s Architectural Antiques, LLC, replaced Scherer’s Enterprises originally owned by Max and Jeri Scherer. Manuel worked for 30 plus years with Max and Jeri Scherer and over those years developed their same love, passion, and knowledge for preserving architectural antiques, and we continue that same tradition.
